Trade Marketing Position

 

Summary

World Trade Center Miami, Inc. (WTCM) is a private/non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Miami as the “Trade & Logistics Hub of the Americas”.  For more than 25 years, the WTCM has facilitated international commerce in Miami-Dade County. Through trade shows, missions, special events, educational programs and other forms of assistance, the WTCM has played a leading role in spurring the growth of the region's most important economic sector, generating more than $3.8 billion in reported international sales and stimulating the formation of thousands of new jobs.

 

The WTCM has developed a “Trade Assistance Center” to assist foreign and domestic international business executives in locating trade partners and new business opportunities globally through a variety of trade research and product and market analysis services.  The WTCM is seeking qualified Trade Research Analysts to provide these services to our clients.

 

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell trade research services and products of the Trade Assistance Center

  • Participate in the development of marketing materials

  • Strong communicator and write show media posting and articles in industry publications

  • Sell trade research services and market and products analysis services

  • Answer customer inquiries and recommend appropriate research and information services

  • Be able to travel and attend industry shows and events.

  • Trade show experience

  • Remain current in international trade research techniques and available resources relevant to providing high quality research and information services

  • Participate in expanding and/or improving research and information services, procedures and practices

  • Must meet sales targets

 

Market & Sell services and products

  • Prepare sales brochure and send to targeted list of prospects

  • Telephone or visit potential customers. Contact key prospects and close sales

  • Prepare press releases. Interface with editors to ensure press coverage

 

Requirements/Qualifications/Minimum Requirements  

  • Bachelor's Degree 

  • Passion for International Trade and Global Affairs 

  • Excellent Knowledge of Standard Office Administrative Practices and Procedures Preferred

 

Reports to

  • Director, Trade Assistance Center

 

 

Requirements

  • Fluent in English and Spanish both verbal and written  

  • Relevant industry experience+ a plus

International Trade Research Position

Key Job Responsibilities

 

  • Run, interpret and analyze data

  • Be able to convert research into actual strategies for clients

  • Be able to transform data into PowerPoint and Excel in order to be used to make presentation by staff and clients

  • Perform analysis on competition and competitors

  • Identify consumer trends and behavior

  • Provide insight on market development and dynamics

  • Be able to summarize research and write reports

  • Perform, develop and create reports and trade research documents from our list services for clients in a timely and professional manner

  • Develop monthly trade data statistical reports for the Miami region

  • Answer customer inquiries and recommend appropriate research and information services

  • Research foreign trade opportunities and provide suggestions for clients.

  • Analyze international markets for business opportunities for clients.

  • Provide clients with data and predictions concerning international trade opportunities.

  • Interface between international trade agencies and business clients to facilitate trade information and opportunities.

  • Remain current in international trade research techniques and available resources relevant to providing high quality research and information services.

  • Participate in expanding and/or improving research and information services, procedures and practice

 

Requirements/Qualifications/Minimum Requirements  

  • Bachelor's Degree 

  • Passion for international trade and global affairs 

  • Excellent knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures preferred

 

Reports to

  • Director, Trade Assistance Center

 

Requirements

  • Fluent in English and Spanish both verbal and written  

  • Five year experience in research

  • Most possess strong analytical skill will ability to interrupt data and proficient in reporting it.

  • Research experience in target markets Latin America and the Caribbean

  • Stromg writing skills
