Information For Immediate Release: PORT DIRECTORS TO ADDRESS MIAMI’S INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS EXECUTIVES AT THE 21st ANNUAL STATE-OF-THE-PORTS BRIEFING

WHO? Over 400 executives are expected to attend the briefing, which is hosted by the World Trade Center Miami, the Port of Miami-Dade and the Miami-Dade Aviation Department. The cost is $40/person. Aviation Director José Abreu and Port Bill Johnson will brief Miami-Dade’s international business community on the economic impact of Miami International Airport and the Port of Miami in 2007 and will forecast Miami’s trade growth in terms of best import/export markets for 2008. Additionally José Abreu will provide an update on the construction
projects completed during 2007, the projects scheduled for 2008 and the
impact of these improvements on global trade growth and on maintaining
Miami’s position as the “Trade and Logistics Center of the
Americas.” Bill Johnson will provide a progress report on terminal
improvements, expansion of cargo piers, cargo gates, and on the Port of
Miami’s
trade diversification efforts. |
