Six Women International Business Executives will be honored at
Florida’s Celebration of International Women’s Day
Miami, January
15 – On March 7, 2008, the World Trade Center Miami will
celebrate its fifth International Women’s Day by honoring six women international
business executives for their exceptional leadership in promoting and enhancing
free trade and international business in the Americas.
In 1975, the United Nations began
sponsoring International Women’s Day
to direct attention to the right of women to be fully engaged in the political
and economic processes that shape their lives. Today, the United Nations’ annual
commemoration of March 8th highlights women’s issues globally and focuses
on women’s achievements.
The women who will receive the awards are as follows:
